What is Iaido?

When: Every Monday 6:30 – 7:30 and every Friday 20:00 – 21:30
Where: On Mondays Schelleingasse 50/3 and on Fridays: Sportunion Altgasse 6, 1130 Wien
Costs: € 60.- per Semester; € 110 yearly.

History

In the middle of the 16th century lived Hayashizaki Jinsuke Shingenobu (1546 – 1621), the founder of the Batto-Jutsu school. He was the 1st Sokei (head) of this sword school. He is considered to be the origin of our present sword school. Since that time, there have been many sword schools, some disappeared more quickly, others survived.
